My $10.00 X-Kilt
So... I was wandering around Wal*Mart's fabric department and found this 64" brown cotton duck on sale at $2.00/yard. 5 yards is enough for two kilts so the material cost was only $5.00. Add in thread, velcro and chalk and I estimate that I have less than $10.00 invested in MY FIRST X-KILT!!!! I am fortunate to have a Sailrite walking foot zig zag machine that I use for canvas and sail repair on my yacht that will handle the thickness easily. Used a black polyester thread to provide a little contrast.

OoooooOOOOooooh chocolately brown. One of my favourite colours.
:kd: I'd wear that in broad daylight! :kd:
And the black does provide a pleasant contrast. :O

That is BEEDEE-utiful. Sorry I just had to say it. Perhaps I should add an XKILT to my collection. The wife can't possible complain at a price like that. Great job.
