Yet more documentation of the power of the kilt
Attention newbies and those on the fence about male unbifurcated garments:
My 11-year-old son and I hit a local alternative health fair yesterday and made a quick trip to the local public library, both of us kilted. I was in my Sportkilt Hunting, and he was in his Black Watch we picked up for a song at the KC Highland Games at the Celtic Croft booth two summers ago.
Got a few odd stares, but when there was a reaction, it was overwhelmingly positive, including a devastatingly attractive woman in her late 30s at the health fair saying to me, "I hope this isn't out of line with your son standing there, but men in kilts just drive me wild."
I smiled and thanked her for the ego boost, and then she told my little guy, "Don't ever let anyone tell you that kilts aren't cool, and if they try and tell you the girls don't like them, don't listen." Then she winked at us both and went on her way.
And I overhead this at the library from a group of teenage guys: "Check it out -- a dude in a kilt. Now, that's bad***."
Never underestimate the power of the kilt side.
