First Kilt! (11/25, New pic, Page 4!)
Well, here it is... #1 in the collection.

This is a Sportkilt in the Law Enforcement Tartan. Mind you this isn't the Law Enforcement Memorial tartan, though that is next on my list as it's a beautiful design...

    Belt was ordered from Stillwater.

Pics are taken via cell phone, and are subsequently... bad. I live alone and really don't have many options at the moment due to everyone else being at work... and I'm stoked to get pics posted.

The first pic is taken at the shop where it was purchased, and the shopkeeper was nice enough to snap a photo, though she's never done that before with a cameraphone and it was a bit shaky. But, no complaints from me.

BTW, the tartan looks kind of purplish to me in the pics... it looks like this though:

Anyways, here are a few shots. I hope to get better ones down the road.

Thanks to everyone here for the inspiration to get this done!

And, here's a shot from Nov. 22 at the Sarasota Medieval Fair:

Nice kilt. Good choice of belt too.

You only need another 92 now and you'll be right up there with Hamish :)

    Derek,

Now brother--you can tell just how comfortable that new Sportkilt is...but the ONLY way to REALLY experience it at it's best is to wear at at your first Highland Games competition! ;-)

Cinch up that belt, grab a sheaf fork and come out and join the rest of us tartan-clad disturbed children who through heavy things!

    How true, John. How true!

Derek, welcome to the wonderful world of kiltdom. Your kilt looks very good to me, although I know little about the SportsKilts product. A good first choice, I'd say.

    Take care,
    Ham.
