while sorting out my books and partners books tonight i came across a old comic book " the dandy and beano book.. the golden years volume 2" from 1989 i couldnt help but read through some of the old cartoons
Ive kept every book i have ever owned from childhood to the presant day regardless of what type of book it was after all a book is for life not just for christmas
my parents got me one of these hard back comics every christmas it was tradition for my folks to buy either the dandy /beano /broons and oor wullie for me and my 3 brothers as kids my 2 sisters would have the female style comics also
(a tradition that sadly died out as we grow into the latter teens) we would just swap them when we had finished each book but I'm a bit of a hoarder hence why Ive got all mine still
i came across these two characters kilted ...some of you folk may remember well and some may have never seen before so i thought id share them with you
(apologies for the bad pictures my scanner is in my bedroom cupboard and the misses is sleeping at the moment ...i`ll take proper scans and re-edit when i have the chance)
