    WOW! This was fast! From what I understood from the Captain at a previous interview, I would have been good to go; now I wonder why I was NOT selected. I am not able to walk on water just yet.

    I do not know if this helps you feel any better?

    I know many ex military mates of mine that after their service to their country got on in the fire and police departments because of their former training in the military.

    The employers like to know that those people can work under extreme pressure if it happens, this is an advantage to those in the civilain world. They also get a lot of experience in these people without having to pay for it themselves!
