    xmarksthescot.com on iPhone issues
    iPhone users:

This past weekend, I think it was, there was a software update on xmarksthecot.com. Around that same time, I downloaded a software update on my iPhone, 3.1.2 (7D11). Since then, I've noticed a number of bugs in the performance of Xmarks on the iPhone, namely,

    1. The first three ads across the top don't display
    2. Clicking the go-to-last-post button only takes you to the top of a thread, not the bottom.
    3. the plain (low-traffic) yellow envelop thread indicator does not display
    4. I clicked the quick links drop-down menu and it replaced the items on the menu bar with the items from the drop-down (and there was no drop-down). The link I clicked was functional, however.

Any other iPhone users having a similar or different experience?

    Regards,
    Rex.

Rex, I just tried all you suggest. All seemed to me OK. That's puzzling.

However, just checked and I am still using Version 3.1 (7C144). Hmm ...

I've got the 3.1.2 upgrade and just tried it. Nothing seems amiss on my end. I do remember having trouble with the quick link drop downs at one point, but I'm not sure if it was on my iPhone or not, and that would've been before I upgraded as well. Not sure what to tell you.

Do you have to be signed off from your home computer before you can sign on using a smart phone? I recently started using a Palm Pre and haven't been able to post or PM from it on this or that other board -- but that may be due to multiple sign-in issues rather than the smart phone per se.

Sorry to introduce a non-iPhone-specific note here, but didn't think it worth a separate thread. . .

I don't have any trouble viewing or using xmarks on my iPhone, which is updated to 3.1.2.

On a side note to this statement, I only use xmarks when I have a wi-fi signal. I have not tried to view/use the site on the 3G network.

I have on occassion been on with both my phone and my laptop at the same time... Not usually but a couple times I had..... Never an issue.

I am rarely using my wifi feature, due to it not always being available.. and it's inconvienent to sign in with a password everytime.

No, Rex. Only you. Heh heh. No, seriously. I just tried everything you described and it all worked fine for me. (Sydney, shouldn't be any need to sign off any more than if you were signed on on both your laptop and pc, or running two different browsers on the same computer.)

    Best regards,

    Jake
