Kathy is obviously a kiltmaker of great skill. If it wasn't for the additional taxes and import duties I'd be likely to incur I would consider having a 'Kathy Lare' in my Kollection. Maybe in a year or so.

Sorry to read of your kilt accident, Czar. I am afraid this is one of the hazzards of wearing a sporran chain. Replace it with a full-length leather strap and I think you will avoid similar experiences in the future. Chains should really only be worn on Dress Sporrans - but maybe that was what you were wearing!!!

Hamish, between myself and my family we make about 6 trips a year to our home on Bute. If you ever wish to order something from the US I would be happy to bring it home and post it to you from there.

    Hamish-

Yes, it was a dress sporran. I was going home from my best friend's wedding and I had unclipped my sporran since it was interfereing with driving. The right-hand side chain, slipped down and got tangled up and the rest as they say is history...

I'll post some Pics when I get it back in my own thread!

That is doubly beautiful, beautiful construction and beautiful tartan.

    Congratulations.
