It is not the cost (although that might have some bearing), it is my total and absolute lack of technical knowledge, and ability! :(

Hamish, that's the point of employing someone who does have the ability. All you need to do is provide the information (text) and photos. Your website of kilt photos demonstrates that you have the ability for that.
