According to something I found on the web, "The Band proudly wears the distinctive tartan of the 78th Fraser Highlands [sic]"

    Meaning, obviously, Highlanders

First, a gathering of X Markers. (We need a word for that... a flock? gaggle? herd?)

As Standard said a perfect "sett" of x-markers. Note; not a matched "set". :D

Nice photos. Looks like a good time, and a beautiful drive home after the weekend.

I had a great day at the Gatlinburg games, the best part being meeting fellow x-markers. I met Matt Newsome, Aaron (TNKiltedWolf) and ScottEPooh all of whom I have met before. New faces to me were Barclay, Heathbar, and piperdbh. Piperdbh and I didn't get a chance to talk--maybe next time.

After a tiring day of hot sun and plenty of sticky mud I think we were all ready to relax and four of us and two of our ladies did just that. We had a kilt night at the Ship pub in the Gatlinburg craft district. We had a great evening with plenty of jollity, food and drink.

Unfortunately I was the only one with a camera and my little camera is not good in low light. However we do have a picture which does show just how relaxed we were. If we look blurred it is because we had too many beers.

I had such a good time I am looking forward to meeting these guys again.

From left to right: my wife, me (Peter C.),Barclay, Heathbar, Aaron (TNKiltedWolf) Aarons wife.

I'd love to know how Barclay grew that shamrock out of the top of his head.:?

Aaron, they are indeed affiliated with the 78th Frasers.

It is a striking tartan, isn't it?

 I'd be happier were it 4-leaf!

I can't say enough what a great group of folks this was and what a great time I had. But seriously, I gotta stop hanging out with giants. I mean, crikey, even the fairer sex is a good half-foot taller than me in these shots. Not only have I gotten fat, I've vertically shrunk!

Isn't that wonderful kilt suit you are wearing the same one that McMurdo photographed on display at the Scottish Tartans Museum? :naughty:

You look great Matt (as always)

    Cheers
