Oh back when my leather and suede skirts would have just about made a decent handbag I would probably have worn something similar in tartan but the more recent fashion for short pleated skirts seemed to alter the perception in some quite subtle way - for a while I stopped wearing my standard length kilts and chose those 27 inches or even longer for everyday.

One of the dance sides where there were both men and women wearing kilts - the women wearing tights or leggings with short kilts altered their dress code so everyone wore knee length and another changed the jackets to be more covering.

English morris dance is an odd subset of kilt wearing but I think it has some influence on kilt wearing in general here. There is probably less formal wear, but kilts worn casually are not unusual particularly in the warmer months.

The situation with our Post Offices sending to America is problematic in many areas - there have been warnings about it for some time, as the tariffs and customs checks are causing delays so that storage has become difficult with no room to take parcels.

Now that there is no lower limit on customs duty quite a few small businesses have suspended shipping to the states as they had people wanting refunds on items which were simply delayed - so they were losing money at a great rate as items deemed unquantifiable were being dumped or destroyed, or were eventually delivered but only after refunding.

Hopefully your purchase will make it through the red tape barrier unscathed.

I am more concerned with the USPS side of the delivery. The supplemental contract workers often fail to understand what a "Hold Mail" form means.

You ask the post office to not deliver your mail to your box during a date range you specify. You can go to your post office and fill out a form or you can do it online.

Exactly this. So all the mail (especially packages) should be waiting for me at mt local post office to pick up when I get home. If they do what they are supposed to do. Especially around Christmas they think they are doing me a favor to leave boxes outside my front door when I am not home (and won't be for a few days).

On your side of the Atlantic, I found this equivalent - Hold my mail with Royal Mail KeepsafeŽ - on the Royal Mail website.
