needle and thread

i bought a cheapo acrylic kilt a while back for gardening wear. this morning i spent a couple of hours sewing down the pleats.
conclusions: a cheapo kilt is a cheapo kilt no matter what you do to it.
ANY kilt will look much better with a little time with a needle and thread.
handsewn kilts are really pretty cheap considering the time and materials involved.
the light in my kitchen is LOUSY!
the eyes of needles are MUCH smaller than they used to be!
