The Price of Whisky
The last time I bought a bottle of Ardbeg 10 year was in a duty free airport (Heathrow) for 26 pounds or 38 USD.
The other day I was in a whisky shop, actually a Tassie distillery, who sell a good range of Scottish whiskies.
I asked the price of Ardbeg...she said $58 AUD (46 USD), before I left I said I'd take a bottle, it sounded a good deal.
Then...the silly woman checked the price, said she made a mistake, it was $91 USD.
I said forget it!! (wish I'd got a quote in writing). I was very cheesed off.
So a question, taking Ardbeg 10 year (or similar) as a gauge, what do you pay?
