    Halesowen tartan

Just seen this on the BBC program 'Midlands Today'. The town of Halesowen in the English 'Black Country' region has it's own tartan.

That is a very nice tartan.

(Did anyone else think that "Halesowen" was a misspelling for "Halloween" before opening the thread?)

Good link, proof if any more were needed that you do not need to be Scottish to wear a kilt.

I should start by saying thank you all for such positive feedback. I'm the guy who designed these tartans and to hear such praise from people on this forum is just great for me I decided to join up as I know feel apart of the community, though I felt my first post should be here!

cessna152towser you really made me feel good with your comment their, completely vindicating why I've done this!

May I be cheeky and ask what people think of each one in particular (Halesowen being the blue and Black Country being the black tartans).

tbfalsename, would you be from that great institution the Earls High School then? You're sort of right, the tartan is based heavily on the towns mediaeval (and little known) coat of arms and so is the Earls High logo.

I think each tartan is nice, but I liked the Halesowen one better. All in all, it's just nice to see kilts and tartan getting more media exposure!
