Greetings All
hello I am a newbie to the kilted world. I just purchased my first one from Freedom Kilts, so I am still waiting on it but the people thier have treated me very well, even calling me to confirm my measurements and helping me to understand the directions on how to take the length measurement properly and sugesting where i should try wearing my kilt. One question though are the jones always this bad the wait is killing me.

Welcome from a few hours south, in Hobbs, Kevin!
Sorry to say, but yes, the Jones are always that bad. The first one is always the worst.
Seeing as you're in Albuqureque, I'll throw you a link in case you're interested in handsewn, traditional, tartan kilts made by Kathy Lare right there in Albuquerque. I've yet to get one from her, but I have full intention. She's a wonderful lady, and a pleasure to deal with. She supplied me with a rental Prince Charlie jacket for my wedding in July.

Typically, a kilt is something you lay out a pile of money for, but can't take it home in a box.
I suppose it's probably worse for the first couple of kilts, but there's always a bit of anxiety because of the wait.
My suggestion... try to think about something else. Not easy if you're posting on this website regularly.
