I just found out I am Scottish
I was at the VA Hospital today for some blood tests, nothing really serious and my son came with me to keep me company on the 1 1/2 hour drive and we had some shopping and errands to do. After I had left the room wearing my black UK Survival, no pockets, and black kilt hose scrunched down, AND the X Marks tee shirt, my son heard this, "You can tell that man is a true Scotsman since he's wearing a kilt in the winter."
It was about 30 degrees F. and sunny. I never liked the black kilt hose with the black UK Survival, but scrunched down seems to be ok. I don't have white socks, just really nice off white kilt hose.
Maybe they will find some Scottish in my blood. ha ha
DALE.
You don't have to be Scottish to be comfortable!

Excellent, though you are a brave soul wearing your hose scrunched down at this time of year. I always wear hose (with my trad. kilts) or rugby socks (with non-trad. kilts) in winter but I never fail to be amazed by the number of hardy young guys walking around either in kilts or knee shorts, with hose scrunched down to the ankles, even on a cold day at this time of year. Maybe my blood is getting thin with age !

Ha ha, yeah. I get comments about wearing a kilt in the Winter, too. People don't seem to understand that wearing 8ish yards of wool with long wool songs isn't so hard to do in a Tennessee Winter.
