Great find!
Sometimes you're just meant to walk into a certain shop. I wandered into my local disposal store today in search of some knife blanks they had some time back. Around 5" clip-point blade, untempered, & 50c each meant that they'd be perfect for reshaping into sgian dubhs. Unfortunately, they'd all been sold a few month ago, so although that project went straight out the window, it still turned out great for me. I was just about to leave when I spotted the 1952 Australian Army 5/7 btn kilt hanging up. Basically my size (just needed longer straps, which was done within 1/2 hour), and my clan tartan (5/7 wear the Modern Gordon in the regimental pleat), and for $140Au. Pics when I have the pleats reset.
