Unusual Kilt Pin
When in Oban, Scotland a few weeks ago, I spent a morning exploring the town as I'd not been there previously. Tucked away in a side street was a small jewellers shop with a window full of really interesting items - but not a kilt pin to be seen! On an impulse, I went inside and asked if they had kilt pins, was told, "Oh, yes" and was directed to a small display under the glass-topped counter. Being a jewellers, they were all silver (none of yer pewter and base metals in there!) and mostly of the traditional sword design, but one just leaped at me and shouted, "Take me home with you!"
It was not quite the most expensive pin there, but close to it, and I did find it incredibly beautiful - so went for it.
Here it is then, in Sterling silver. All I need now is a delicious new kilt to go with it!

I have named this the 'Oban pin'. It is gorgeous isn't it?
