I am finally kilted
I am finally able to be one of the proud bearers of a kilt. It's a black original from UK and I love it.
Wearing a kilt simply feels like coming home. It sounds weird, but it feels right.
After reading all of the reviews it looks like my next few kilts will come from SWK, and I look forward to the experience as I no longer desire to wear pants of any kind. Knowing now how many options there are, this is simply great.
...and thanks to all the help from you guys, it looks as though I am going to being grabbing a tartan that best represents where my fore-fathers come from. That is worth a great deal to me, so thanks for all your help guys.
I was hoping to post some pics of my new kilt, but I do not have that term yet. Soon I hope.
Cheers to yaz

Welcome from Ontario. I'm guessing Red Deer, Alberta right? If o here are more choices for you. Should you allow your arm to be twisted Canadian Casual kilts (MacHummel here on X Marks) currently carries the Maple Leaf.

Always glad to help a fellow countryman. You have been added to the list of "Places to buy kilts".
Cheers

I know exactly how you feel. I felt the same way the first time I put on a kilt, which happened to be a UK, too. I'm way overdue for a tartan. I'll probably go SWK, like you, too...and then go to one of our other many fine kilt makers here on site for something in my clan tartan.
Congratulations and welcome!

And don't overlook Freedom Kilts out in Victoria B.C. if you want to support Canadian kiltmakers. He's a sponsor of this forum

Congrats on your first kilt! Be careful, they are very addicting! Especially with Stillwater's quality & price. I'm trying my best not to order any more. HAHA!
