Ahoy mariners! My new kilt pin.

So I occasional cruise ebay for interesting pins. I saw and grabbed this one just because of my connection to the sea. It cost about $5 and is about 2" long. I would've prefer and Carrick bend or a bowline but I've been known to use a clove hitch from time to time.

Your boats adrift mate. That is not a knot. Not even a clove hitch. Pull on both ends of that and you have a straigt line. I know I'm nit picking your beautiful pin but my obsessive nature wins again. O'Neille

You're correct

. Then to a mariner it's a tragedy waiting to happen. But if you put the loops together and throw it over a piling you'd get a cow hitch.

I may be a few years past my knot tieing Boy Scout years but, Grant.... I'd have to agree with O'Neille and Chef. I will say that it does look good though.

Regardless of whether or not the knot could be tied, it is a very nice looking pin. Why the change from the maple leaf?

Actually the Maple Leaf is the only tartan I have 'cept for the shadow SWK. Gotta show a kilt pin on tartan!

Well I'm not going to take a picture of two kilt pins on the same kilt, Monkey@Arms is just salivating about flashing his Kilt Police badge.

The maple leaf pin is so old news. Everyone has one! Well everyone except you and ScoutNiagara

! I have more kilts coming, I need more kilt pins. I've been looking for something nauti(cal) for some time.
