Kiltstore has delivered a gorgeous kilt
I'm deleting my original post as Nick and I have come to an amicable end.
The 8 yard Balmoral Kilt arrived today, Tues, Dec 11th and it is all that I hoped for and more. It is a truly beautiful garment that I expect to own for my lifetime and pass down to after I depart this life.
I rescind my earlier recommendation. It appears that it is wholly possible that Scotweb did not get my notice of when I needed the kilt. I certainly remember posting that information, but browsers can go awry.
From Nick's description of events, Scotweb did everything they possibly could to get the kilt to me as soon as humanly possible. So kudos to Scotweb.
I will post pictures of me and the kilt after I debut this coming Saturday.

Glad you are happy in the end.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

I'm glad it all worked out in the wash (handwash or dry clean only, of course). It's definitely a great looking kilt!

I've very happy with my Gordon Modern from Kiltstore, despite some initial communication issues on type of pleating.

Wow, It takes a big man to rescind and to admit some fault may have fallen on their own shoulders. I am impressed. We have a lot of hard cases here that are never wrong so I commend you for being a stand up guy.
Nick and Scotsweb have always been great supporters of this site and I enjoy reading the insight Nick brings to his posts.
From all I have heard you will be very pleased with your kilt. It's unfortunate that your kilt didn't arrive in time for your event. I had something similar happen with another company and an important event, but it's all past and the kilt still looks great. That's life I guess.
I am glad to hear it all worked out. I look forward to seeing the kilt all put together. It's a really nice looking tartan.

I'm glad you've sorted things out with Scotweb, and even more glad you're happy with your new kilt. It looks beautiful. Now we need to see you in it!
