Won't be around for a while.

Just wanted to let folk know that I won't be around for a while.

About two hours before the bells last night I made the 'stupid' decision not to buy cigarettes for a drunk teenager and, in return, he beat me up.

I'm doing O.K. but I spent Hogmanay in the hospital getting x-rays.

My ring finger is broken in three places and I have a hairline fracture on my skull so I'm going to be spending a while resting up and not typing.

Everything is O.K and the police have been informed.

So in the meantime, make plenty of posts about wonderful kilts so I have something to come back to!!!

Arlen, I am so sorry to hear of your awful encounter. I do think that your decision not to buy the cigarettes was a correct one and only with hindsight was it the wrong one. I send you my good wishes for speedy recovery and a much safer 2008.
