On Friday, March 14, I began celebrating St. Pats. Joining me for the first time was my daughter, Lady Shannon.

As promised by the staff at Dublin Crossing, the first pint was on them for anyone kilted. Yours truly poses with his personal mug, which now resides at DC. Also note the new MapleLeaf sporran flap recently received from Turpin.

Papa and his little girl.

These two young ladies were unsure of what to order and so they decided on the sampler, Guinness, Harp, Smithwicks and Kilkenny. They were not sure where to begin as far as tasting so being as I have had a pint or two in the past, I offered some advice.

The band, Murphy's Lagh, was great, rockin' the house. What a great treat it was though to have members of the Steele Irish Dancing School come in and put on a bit of a show. Here is one of the young girls awaiting her turn.

She is part of a group heading to Belfast next week for a competition.

It was a very pleasant evening spent with my daughter (who discovered she REALLY likes Pimms cocktails!). We talked and laughed and just enjoyed each others company. It made me forget all about those late night feedings, diapers and sleepless nights of days gone by and I truly look forward to our next "bonding" experience.
