Maryland and environs Kilt Night
Our numbers in the Mid Atlantic area are increasing. We really need to get together for a meet and greet. Is anyone opposed/interested in a mid afternoon gathering? The Ram's Head Tavern in Savage Mill. Just off of Rt 95, between DC and Baltimore. Craft brewed beers, A decent lunch menu, and a tolerable noise level. And Kilt Friendly. What sayeth thou?

Frederick, MD
I should be TDY to Frederick, MD sometime this summer for two or three months, and there are several great bars in the old downtown area. I'll shoot out a note when I depart and give an abridged itinerary and possibly my cell phone number.

[Off topic] Out of curiosity Rogerson, from your av it looks like you're stationed at either Riley or Carson. If the later, we'd enjoy having you join our kilt nights[/off topic] Wish I could make it out there for one of your kilt nights but at this time, it doesn't look like that will happen any time soon. I enjoy getting together with kilties in other areas.
.......just read another of your posts..... I just might have to stop in your area next time we head to Iowa to visit the grandchildren.

Fort Riley, KS
Sir,
I only wish I were stationed at Ft. Carson, Colorado a much better place than Kansas there are no mountains here!
That picture was taken while I was stationed at Fort Huachuca Arizona, I was in the all-volunteer B Troop 4th US Cavalry (memorial) and we represented the Indian War period. I applied, interviewed, and did an audition with folks here at Ft. Riley, they wanted me, but unfortunately, because of my technical job and rank of SSG I was deemed untouchable.

I think depending on specific date we could be able to make it. A Saturday would be better for us as Sunday is usually quite busy.
Did you have any dates in mind?

Weekend afternoons are generally fine with me, except for those Saturdays when something else is going on. And teh Ram's Head sounds fine. I haven't been to their Savage Mill location, but I like their Annapolis store.

Count me in and thanks for picking a particularly convenient location.
It might be worth pointing out that Howard Road is the first light south of MD32 & barely 1/2 mile from 32. Stay in the right lane.
