Athletic kilt question
I have been to a few Celtic/Highland festivals and while they haven't had games they have had demonstrations...in the ones I've been too the atletes don't seem to be wearing traditional kilts, they've worn unpleated wraps with very little overlap, and a bit shorter. Almost like (and i dread to say this because the last thing I need is a telephone pole tossed through my bay window) a wrap around skirt...(cringes and waits for the sound of smashing glass...no?...ok then) Is this a normal garment for athletics? To be fair it does seem to allow more movement while giving the apearence of traditional garment. Thanks.
