Car CRASH!

Hi All,

Yesterday I had 24-hour staff duty, not allowed to sleep on duty. So, at 2130 I went for more coffee at the 24-hour store, it had been snowing since 1830 and it was a wet goopy snow, the base had yet to begin salting, sanding or plowing because it was the weekend. I drove my 2006 Nissan XTerra to the store in 4x4 high with no problems. Unfortunately, on the way back an oncoming driver lost control and my evasive off road maneuver did not save my vehicle from being hit. I may have caused less damage with my skillful driving, but now I have to go through the insurance process and repair. Luckily, for me we both have USAA insurance and the woman claimed responsibility to the Military Police.

My SUV is off the road to the right.

I was a little close to the tree line!

J curious, but would that be Ft. Huachuca? I was stationed there and Ft. Riley years ago... loved Az., hated every minute of Ft. Riley B co. 101st MI bn.

I feel your pain. A couple of months ago some girl decided to bounce her car off the side of my Dodge Ram. She was unable to produce proof of insurance at the scene. BUT, she did end up being insured. Thank God.

The insurance/repair procedure definitely isn't a pleasent one. Ugh.

If that is the road I'm thinking of, that is not the first time I've seen that. Sorry it had to be you but at least the damage is not too severe and you walked away. USAA has been the easiest to work with I've ever encountered.
