Caledonia Tartan
I plan on getting a new kilt made soon, very soon. I actually told myself that several months ago now and still have not gotten around to having one made. But with my upcoming trip to Scotland this summer I have no time to waist. I wanted a kilt made with a universal tartan. A tartan that was distinctly Scottish but not necessarily associated with a specific clan or family. I originally was thinking of getting a kilt made in Aberdeen district tartan. But after having stewed over it now for several months still have not made a decision. I plan on getting a 16 oz. hand made kilt, so I want to make sure it is exactly what I want. Now I am thinking of getting it made with the Caledonia Tartan. Does anyone have any info on it or possible have a kilt made with it? My understanding is that it is a universal tartan and not some organizations tartan. Here is an image of it for reference. Also want to point out that I have never posted an image before so I hope this works out.
