Scotland Yard bit slow
Hello rabble. Been out of town for a bit. 5 day fest, then a visit to my father in California. Then working 13 hour days. I thought i would post my experience with Scotland Yard.
Ordered on 5/7/08:
Long sleeve shirt ( The chase..also called the "Roebuck in the thicket" by Graves i believe).
McKenzie clan badge by Art Pewter Silver LTD
Total cost with shipping $52.13
Shipped on 5/27/08 and arrived a week later. Even with the holiday this hardly qualifies as 2nd day air, which i payed for.
The quality seems good. The shirt seems well made, though the pattern is silk screen i think, so it prolly won't last long, as in my experience, silk screened things seem to fade rather quickly. The clan badge is nice and well cast, but the clasp and pin are pretty thin. I had planned to wear it as a kilt pin but i'm rethinking that, as i don't know how it will hold up.
No word from Scotland Yard on why it took them a month to ship items they listed as "in stock" or why it took fedex a week to ship something 2nd day air. I got a confirmation and a tracking number, but i was out of town and didnt see it till i got back. This was probally a Fedex screw up not Scotland Yards mess up, as there was a tracking number indicating they did actually hand it off to the shipper.
Final thoughts: Ok quality merchandise. Prolly will not order from them again though, as over a month from order to door for a shirt and a badge, both in stock, is a bit excessive. For over $50 dollars i guess i expected the stuff in less then a week. That seemed reasonable to me anyway.
Be Well
