    New Sgian with Damascus Blade

Just received a new sgian today made by Piper394. It's beautiful!! The blade is damascus steel forged from a recycled Harley Davidson primary chain. The hilt is hand-carved African Blackwood with sterling settings and an amethyst on top. It fits snugly into a tooled leather scabbard. It feels so substantial!

    Here are the pics

That's beautiful. I particular like the shape of the grip. Very unique.

I love the marbled look from a Damascus blade.

That's nice. Three ways to keep it looking that way:
    (1) Wax the back of the sheath to prevent moisture damaging the blade when you are wearing it.
    (2) Put a drop of 3-In-1 oil on the blade before you put it in the sheath.
    (3) When you take it off, put a pencil in the sheath to allow air to get in there and help dry things out.
