Nostalgia wallow
having been cruising on this site for a while has got me to thinking about taking another trip to Scotland. Just to spend a week back in Glasgow visiting the places I enjoyed the last time 25 years ago. The Burrell museum, tattoo at the castle, the Victoria & Albert museum with all that armor (WOW that's a three day visit alone ), touring the Castle (can't recall the title) where the Allied General's met to plan D-Day, and just walking around the open fields along the coast feeling the wind breeze through my kilt.
Does the Glasgow University still let out student dorm rooms in the off season? Are there fairly econimical B&B's around? Is there still that huge underground flea market in the tunnels under London? That's a reason for the trip alone.
I can tell it's been too long since I had a good road trip. ith:

hmmm, now that I think on it, maybe I'm remembering a fort with a large open pitch??? Several military units and marching pipe/drum's. Gimme a break though, it's been 25 years, y'know?

I've always wanted to go to the Edinburgh Tattoo. Maybe you should plan your trip around summer and catch the Edinburgh Fringe Festival too!
