    Beer Festival

After a peaceful eve the night before in the forests .. Sat morning was totally different .. the weather was glorious again and the bus was full as we headed to our meeting venue.

We met in wetherspoons as one does ... for a wet one

    Then we took off here

It was already doing a good trade when we arrived mid morning

This was the first beer we tried

After we had been there an hour a choir turned up and sang for while. They were a choir from the 'Cardiff Blues' ... rugby.

Then I could not believe my eyes .... I thought they worked in secrecy but the beer festival was to much for them .. it brought them out of hiding

The wife wanted to be rescued ... doh ... so much for the power of the Cilt/Kilt !

    Some general pics

Then as we sat there savouring various brews

    This lot turned up

They were a rugby team from up North and were down on a stag night. The guy getting married is the one in the wedding dress. Dot wanted to recruit these as barladies for our folk fest in sept. They were a great bunch of guys out for a laff. We had a good chat to em all .. not one of em mentioned Cilt ... they couldnt really .. could they.

Then we took off on the bus down to the bay cause it was so nice a day.
We got off at the millenium centre (the opera house). It is made out of welsh slate.

Then we queued for an ice cream

Then washed it down here ... this is an old dockland pub

    Then we went home.

And here was I thinking from your previous posts that every day was a Beer Festival. What an incredible range of choices you must have been faced with.

One can never have too many beer choices. Looks like a "dream" event. Thanks for taking us along again, Derek.
