Songs about the wearin' of the kilt
Seeing as one of various past-times is collecting 78 rpm records and records in general, I was curious about song related to kilt wearing. Of course we all know of these two:
Bryan Bowers - The Scotsman
Andy Stewart - Donald, Where's Yer Troosers? -- and the version by BBC Radio 2's Ken Bruce for Children in Need from last year.
But, one of my favourite is one by a man who's music I have enjoyed since I was a teen, Sir Harry Lauder. In 1913 he recorded a real corker called The Kilty Lads. You can hear it here:

He also recorded a song called That's The Reason Noo I Wear a Kilt. A version from 1908 is on:

from 1911

and from 1928

So - does anyone else know of any others -- particularly old timey stuff

Is The Scotsman the sung version of the old joke with the punchline, "Laddie, I don't know where you've been but I see you won first prize?"

When I was a kid we still had my grandmother's Edison Ambrola which used spool recordings. My sister has it now and I'm not sure if it still works. One of the spools was Sir Harry's "A Wee Hoose 'Mang the Heather". I think that spool got cracked and not sure where to find it now, but it was a good song.
