How Have Flight Attendants Treated You Kilted?

We've talked about how TSA and various country's airport security have treated us kilted. There have been a few mentions of how flight attendants treated us once on board kilted.

Have had the usual compliments and tartan questions from flight attendants. Think someone posted he got an upgrade to first class.

Would like to hear other stories of how flight attendants have responded to the kilt on board.

Going to endeavor to keep my story appropriate to the board rules. Mods, if it doesn't pass inspection please delete it. Flying to Hawaii a pretty young flight attendent was squating in the aisle while attending to a child passenger in the seat in front of me. While she did so she kept visually kilt inspecting me. After her inspection she smiled and positioned herself so that I could see that she was also flying in comfort, she smiled again, then stood and went about her duties.

Did not seem flirtatious - huge age difference - more a salute to the bond of flying in comfort.

    Your flight attendant stories??

Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.

When I boarded the flight at Edinburgh Airport last Sunday to fly to London for my day trip to the Harpenden gathering, the stewardess who welcomed me on board asked "are you going home then?" I had to explain that I was a native Scot, travelling outbound on a day excursion to a Highland gathering in England.
This appeared to confirm the saying that a kilt is a garment worn only in Scotland by Americans, and only worn by Scots while in America.
I would give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe, just maybe, she had spotted the little Canadian flag stitched onto my Freedom kilt in xmarksthescot tartan.

I had first class TREATMENT from the Southwest employees (men and women) while kilted. We were always in the "A" group, so we boarded first, but the attendant (female) sat down next to Kelly and I while others were boarding and chatted about the kilt and took a card. The BONUS is that no-one sat there as she took up the spot and then left when everyone had boarded!

I'm pretty sure that's not what Ron was getting at...

It's nice to know that there's something to look forward to on the other side of the pat-down and metal detectors!
