The latest project
Greetings all, 24 July, 12:59pmMST
The latest kilt. This is for a pal of mine in Dumfries.
This is the Leslie M.C., in 18oz military weight. Pleated to the stripe as per his wishes. Also a view of the fabric. Have to get it in the right light for the green to really show up.
Regards aye,
T.

Is that the fabric from eBay seller in Devon, H. Nichols? I have two lengths in my "kilts in the raw" pile, and (if so) am pleased to see how well it makes up!
Beautiful work, as always, thanks for the peek.

Thanks for the kind remarks. And yes, that is the same fabric of which you referred to Sydnie. I was of a mind that you bought some at the same time I did.
I's really good to work with. I steamed and blocked all the pleats, as it doesn't want to yield real well to just steaming.
I've got enough left to make his wife a pleated skirt, but am waiting on a "go-no go" to that idea.
I will press my pal for pix after he gets it.
Next project............Sherrifmuir doublet and waistcot for our Brother "Scotchmaster".
Regards aye,
T.

To be young again......
Thanks all for your kind comments.
Phil, I am sure you don't know how old I am, but being referred to as "young man" has definitely scored some points.
Oh to actually be young again, but knowing what I know now.
