Travelling from my home in Hawick to Edinburgh I would normally go via the Soutra Pass, where the road follows a pass between the Lammermuir and Moorfoot hills. On Sunday our little group of two men, two ladies and two dogs met at a roadside layby a few miles north of Peebles to climb Dundreich Hill, one of the highest peaks in the Moorfoots. Here we leave the shore of Portmore Loch behind as we begin our ascent.
As we climbed higher, the whole of Portmore Loch could be seen in the camera viewfinder.
We had a good view towards Bowbeat Wind Farm
Jill, Ben and Fiona at the summit of Dundreich.
More to follow shortly.
