The Old Man & the Kilt
I took my 83-year-old dad to one of the local Burns Suppers the other night. It was his first time kilted (it's one of my kilts) in his entire life, but he looked like such a "natural" that some people there who didn't know him kept referring to "the old Scottish guy"...!

My dad loved his Scottish heritage, but I couldn't get him in a kilt. Good on you. Your dad looks great. I hope he enjoyed himself.

Very nice
Looks great Woodsheal!
Good on him for his willingness to give it a go, what was his take on the experience?

He enjoyed the kilt-wearing, and the evening - though he got a bit "hazy" as the night wore on. A rep from the Balvenie distillery was on hand, with generous samples of their entire range, including their 21 year old.
My Dad loves a fine single malt, so he took full advantage of the situation! Myself and the ex-sergeant in the picture had to help Dad manuever (stagger) his way out to my car for the ride home, but it was all worth it...!

Aye, it doesn't get much more natural looking than that.
Excelent photos, and your dad looks like one heck of a cool guy.

You've created some family heirlooms by snapping those pictures. Congratulations.
Please pass along our best wishes to your father for continued good health and enjoyment of life.

Looks like he had a good time (and some good single malt!). Happy for both of you. Do you think he'll do it again Woodsheal?
I can't get my Dad in a kilt. He'd probably wrestle a Grizzly given the chance, but the kilt is still a no-go. Someday though...someday.

The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.
