    Am I too picky....?

.... or does this look positively Alpine? (& No, I DON'T mean "MacAlpine")

Those buttons on the lapel make me think it should be worn over lederhosen!

I rather like it (it is nowhere near my size, so no worries about a bidding war ). To my eye, it appears more Victorian or Edwardian than Alpine.

I'm not really flashy, and I have a problem with most PCs because they have chrome buttons. This particular one illustrates the point being so over the top. I feel like they should have antiqued buttons and feel that this would look really spiffy if they had used antiqued rather than chrome buttons.

I feel a yodel coming on!

I do not like the buttons on the lapels - I don't like the lapels at all. I don't like that it has been paired with a 5 button waistcoat.

All that having been said, they do have some good stock in their shop and some good prices. So much of that horn-work must be unique.

I think they would be worth a look - apart from that jacket.

    Regards

    Chas

I don't care for it myself, I hate the buttons on the lapels and the waistcoat could usefully lose a couple. To me, it looks more like a sailor suit from HMS Pinafore (Gilbert and Sulivan light operetta). But as I've said before, each to his own...

I haven't yet been able to find much that is described as being "contemporary" that I like.

This jacket/waistcoat combo falls into that category. I don't like it.

The word "Austria" jumped into my head the moment the picture came up on my screen.

I kind of immediately thought of the von Trapp singers as well.
