horrid pressing boxpleat to knifepleat
We see this on Ebay from time to time, a boxpleated kilt (Seaforth, Cameron, or Argyll) on which an ignorant person has badly pressed the pleats from their original shape to ordinary knifepleated shape.
This one is on Ebay now, "vintage mens wool tartan Scottish kilt"

Also note that the top of the kilt has had an extra strip of (almost) matching tartan added.
