Kilted at Church for the first time
I just re-relocated back to the Fort Lauderdale, Florida area after being away for almost 2 years of work commitments. The area in which I lived was very conservative and wearing a kilt in public was beyond a hassle, to say the least. I know attending church kilted is not unusual for many who frequent this blog, but it was a first for me.
I attended services at the MCC Sunshine Cathedral in my smart black Utilikilt and a nice casual white shirt. Dress at services vary from business casual to shorts and t shirts for folks headed to the beach right after the benidiction.
I received several nice comments and lots of thumbs up. It was so nice being in such a welcoming environment compared to the recent past. I may not attend services kilted Sunday, but I will a couple of times month.
