Husband will wear the kilt!! (Historical advice?)
I posted in Miscellaneous forum about how I was working on an 18th-century Scottish costume for myself. I always thought "How awesome it would be and how great he would look if my husband would wear the kilt and go with me!" Well, a few weeks ago I finally talked him into it! I'm so excited!
Since I haven't done his ancestry yet as much as my own and don't know if he has any Scots ancestry for sure, I chose the Black Watch tartan. I am going for 18th century for him as well.
So, do any of the gentlemen here wear the great kilt/ belted plaid from that time period, who could be so kind as to share some pictures and advice? I've been looking online and going over my research again, but you know how the internet is... it can be hard to know which sources are fact.
Thanks in advance!
