    New Kilt!!

I came home to a package from Glasgow on my doorstep! A new kilt! I recently sold my old wool kilt that I have had since 1998. It was my first, favorite, and only kilt for most of my kilted life. It was a Cameron Highlanders kilt that I loved for the look, heavy weight, etc. but unfortunately, I have very little Cameron in my family heritage. Most of my dad's side most connects with clan Campbell. SO... I decided to finally get a nice wool kilt in Campbell or Black Watch. Recently, I found a very good deal on a unworn, Royal Regiment kilt. ... trigger pulled, jones over... it is here!

    Kilt looks great!

By the way - if you mean Cameron of Erracht - as far as I know this tartan though ist bears the name Cameron never had a real family tie. It has never been worn as a Cameron clan tartan but as pure military tartan which means most people would consider it kind of universal tartan...
It is based on MacDonald tartan because the regimet founders mother, who designed the tartan, was a MacDonald. As I was told :-)

As a McIntosh, I don't know which is worse! Seriously, congratulations on the new kilt.

A lovely kilt and as it seems to have military box pleats and the lighter green it's identical to the old Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders officer's kilts.
The Kilt is my delight !

My understanding is that the current issue for the Royal Regiment is the coloration and pleating of the old A&S Highlander officer model
