A "Do you realize where you are pulling and tugging?" moment

I enjoyed St. Patrick's day at work. I was very green so everyone thought I looked the part anyway. There were no questions related to undergarments but I work in HR so they aren't likely to ask such a thing.. I was the only one kilted but 98% of my coworkers are women. the only weird thing was when a coworker grabbed the tassel on my sporran. She was curious about if it was real fur. I just said "no, it's not " and eased away. I don't think she was aware of the proximity of the sporran in relationship to the rest of my anatomy. Click image for larger version.

I guess my question is has anyone else ever had a similar experience ?

It all sounds like a good day Richard, women just don't have the hang-ups that men do when they are comfortable around someone. they reach out more. They like to style each other's hair and paint their nails, and can talk about things that us men would fell awkward talking about, so don't worry about the proximity. The only time I had a kilt check was with my mother-in-law, and I did move away.
Are you able to wear your kilt on other days?

I also agree with the "touchy-feely" attitude women take. Your sporran tassels don't look like Naguhide (mythical creature and source of pseudo/leather in the 1960's). Curiosity just took the better of her senses, much like innocent children will with dangerous pretty things like fire or snakes.

Yes. I know the 20-something lady was not intending anything by petting my mask sporran, so it made me very uncomfortable. I was sitting at the time and could not conveniently move away, so I diverted her attention to my garters.

Fairly often the gals feel the fabric of my kilts, but I guess my sporrans need to be more interesting.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

I've been asked more than once by a lady who wanted to pet my full mask "purse thing". Few know the real name, so it's an educational moment.
