    Kilted on Pickford Dr.

My wife and I were out for a walk last night. I received the usual number of second and third looks from the ladies driving by, but one inparticular was so takken that she gave me the "thumbs up". Of course I could not resist acknowledging witch caused great embassment for the teenage girl that was riding with her.

Marie-Jo and I had a good laugh. (She was hanging on to my hand real tight.)

    Casey,

I always love those second looks and thumbs up responses that we get, what a great feeling! Love hearing these things like this.

Sadly in the extremely conservative area I live in the hot thing for guys to wear are pants so tight you couldn't squeeze a penny into the pocket
(bloody cowboys!) Last weekend I had a lady from Holland nearly run me over while I was putting groceries in my truck, she was so excited to see a guy in a kilt

That'll put some excitement in your day. No different around here. The under 18 guys tend to wear pants 2 sizes too big and falling off their butts while the older guys wear jeans tight enough to squeeze the juice out of a lemon.I'm pretty easy to find in the crowd around here

Same thing here. Rediculously oversized mid-calf length cargo type shorts are very popular here. Some are so baggy that it impedes walking. For the most part the kids don't realize that they look like ill fitting rumpled skirts. Not long ago I was taking an evening walk with my wife and daughter. We happened to pass a couple of such clad older teenage boys standing in a driveway. One of them looks at my kilt with a bit of a grimmace and shakes his head. Funny... I was thinking the same thing about his shorts. Without a word, we agreed to disagree.

My understanding is that the low-rider jeans look is from prison culture (where a lot of inner-city fashion originates).

From what I heard (from a high-school teacher), the inmates who wear their trousers low enough for their underwear to show are advertising their availability to whomever wants a quick piece.

In short, they are the prison sluts.

The teacher I heard this from enjoys telling this to the wannabe-macho guys that are almost tripping over their waist-bands. Apparently, they very quickly hike those jeans up to waist-level and cinch them up good and tight.

You do if it's the seriously obese girl in front of you in class, and she's wearing the string thong.
