What is the difference between wool for tartan said to be worsted and wool said to be woollen? I've seen both listed on kiltmaker's websites, but the worsted can often be twice as much per yard. Will a kilt made from the woollen wool look bad? The website I am talking about is one of the advertisers here.

A worsted twist thread used on a Tartan gives you a smoother finish, like what you are used to seeing in fabric.
A woolen yarn kilt is a little more fuzzy/hairy. It's a little more rustic looking than the worsted. I love the look of the woolen in the casual/outdoor wear kilts, but prefer the worsted for formal wear.
