We finally got my soon-to-be 6 year old son a kilt last Saturday at the BC Highland Game. He totally loved it and didn't want to take it off for anything. He looks comfortable and he had a smile for the whole day. My Wife even told me that we should let him to wear his kilt for her brother's wedding in November, instead of a monkey suit.

When we were walking back to the car at the end of the day, he said to me,'Dad, Now I can go to the Kilts Night with you!'

He was kilted the next day for his T-ball's closing ceremony. With the exception of the coach, no one teased him. One of the parents came and asked about what Tartan he was wearing. None of his teammates said anything either. Then again, most of his teammates are classmates as well and they are used me being kilted.

Yesterday was his third outting in his kilt. This time, it was his kindergarden graduation. We dressed him in a white polo shirt and his brown 'work boot.' Again, no one said a thing. He was running around and playing with his friends. Many photos were taken, but I haven't had the time to up load them yet.

This is only the beginning, my wife assured me that.
