Making a jacket?
Hello,
I have'nt been here for a while...I saw someone at the MN State Fair in a kilt, and it got me thinking about making a kilt jacket/vest(waiscoat in UK?)
I would like to make a jacket out of Black heavyweight wool with a matching vest. The jacket would be similar to this:

The jacket would be fully lined with guantlet cuffs, mandarin collar, and external 'slit' pockets. There are no buttons. I would also make a standard cut matching vest with black horn buttons.
1) Would this work well with a kilt?
2) Where can you get wool to make a kilt jacket?
3) Any ideas,opinions etc.?
Thanks!
edit: The jacket and vest would be cut for a kilt...
