5 yard poly viscoe kilt for Under $100US?

Scottishkilts.net is selling their Hunting Sewart for $75 US and it does not look like it is a typo. How do they do it?

    (Probably closer to $90 US.)

Machine sewn + less expensive fabric
    Less experienced workers perhaps?
Some production line work thrown in?

I'll bet they sell quite a few of them at that price.

No, I clicked on the U.S. currency icon, and it is $75.

Hmmm... I'll stand corrected then. Perhaps somebody at

    http://www.xe.com/ucc/

    has their math wrong.

Actually, your estimate sounds closer to what I would've expected. Maybe there's a glitch in the Scottishkilts.net system. Someone better take advantage of it, while they can!

Wow, that is a great deal. Why do they tempt me like this!!!!!!!

I was exchanging emails with David at Scottishkilt.net this week. He informed me that in January they purchased the business of Tartan Web and have just about completed a revamp of the site at
    http://www.tartanweb.com

I would suspect that other tartans will show up in PV in the future as well if they sell these sucessfully. They really seem to be paying attention to the market and what customers want.

    Currently 1GBP = 1.7405 USD

So GBP 50.00 (for the kilt) = 87.02 USD

Most credit card companies add 2% to the exchange rate, so that brings the USD to 88.95. Still a good price. The USD has been strengthening against the GBP lately so now's the time for us Americans to buy British goods.

This I what I do for a living right now, work for the international department of a mid size bank.

The 50 GBP price tag includes VAT, this would not have to be paid if ordering from outside of the European Union (or whatever it's called). Thus with the exchange and the lack of taxes, it comes out to only $75 US.
