    Black and Brown

I was just thinking about comments made by some about not wearing black shoes with a brown kilt.

What about a tan Mocker UK, off white hose, a black belt and what color shoes? Is the black belt a problem? I didn't even think of that and all my belts are black. I think I have brown shoes that would work, but they are a little tight.

    DALE.

    Well then...

Well then it will be black shoes with black belt, and tan Mocker.

    DALE.

Usually gray is worn with black and tan is worn with brown. But, khaki tan is one exception to the browns rule. I think khaki tan goes with most anything.

But, you should look into a brown belt. Your belt and shoes must match. No doubt on that one.

    Cool Speaking of brown...

Egad, I have through the veritable wringer since I decided I had to locate a pair of brown Ghillies. I have them in black, so brown should be an easy deal...NOT!

After all sorts of word searches and dead ends, I came upon The Kilt and Thistle shop out in Washington state. Their owner can get them and he says he likes "English tan" personally. Done deal, says I, so I'm eagerly awaiting out the next two weeks when he gets them in.

Some kiltmakers online have told me that NO ONE has them. Good thing I kept up digging. Heck, all I want them for is typical informal daywear.
Nothing is worn under the kilt...everything works just fine!!
