    Gleniff kilts

    Hi out there.
Has anyone bought a kilt from Gleniff Highlandwear in the U.K. and if so what are they like. They sell 8 yard 16oz wool worsted kilts in a range of 100 tartans for £199 and make the proud boast "If there is a finer example of the traditional kilt, we have yet to see it". Now I'm a great believer in the old adage you only get what you pay for, and this seems too good to be true, however if they are as good as they claim then I wouldn't mind getting one at that price. I'd welcome any feedback from the kilted community !
    Yours Aye 'Freddie'

Some interesting stuff on there. You Utilikilt type guys may like the cammo sporrans. It looks like they are using the Marton Mills Jura line of wool based on the tartans they are listing. I'd be interested in hearing any input anyone has too.

I really like to modern jackets too http://www.glenniff.co.uk/modern-jacket-1.htm

It looks like they're re-sellers. The place where they get their kilts and jackets is one of my wholesale suppliers in Glasgow.

Since the idea of camo sporrans was brought up... what do you guys think of a camo sporran (actually... the exact one pictured on their site)? How much would you pay for one... what's a fair price?

Rocky, maybe that is worth a new thread for cammo sporrans. A lot of the guys that would be ordering those may not look at threads dealing with companies that do traditioanl style tartan kilts. I would think $50 would be fair for a cammo sporran myself.
