Hello all.

Well, last Saturday was the last football game of the year(American football for the European gents here) for Kansas State, and we were playing the highly favored, defending national champion Texas U team. Well, as it was the highest ranked team we'd had in a while, and they were the big dogs of our conference, I decided I'd go kilted and maybe try to get on TV(didn't happen). However, I got an amazing number of responses from fellow attendees. One fella asked if I was cold, as it was 40 F and all I had was t-shirt and kilt, and then proceeded to ask me about the kilt. I informed him and he left with a, 'See ya later bro.' When I arrived in stadium, I got a few odd looks from people, but some guys a few rows ahead looked back and saw me. Their first response was, 'Dude, is that a kilt?' to which I responded in the affirmative. They replied, 'That's frickin awesome man, where'd you get it?' I informed them it was an Amerikilt that my father gave me(Thanks again Pops!) and that if they wanted one they could go to the website. I also noticed that the ladies sitting near me were a little more congenial than usual. The only negative comment of the night was so weak it didn't even warrant a response(Hey baby, you got any fries with that shake?). And then to top it off, we beat Texas 45-42 in possibly the biggest upset in NCAA football this year. I think my kilt might be lucky now. I guess I'll just have to wear it to all the games now...
