    Denim UK

    Hey guys,

Im thinking about getting a Denim Utilikilt and I was wanting some advice from any of you that might have one. First off, hows the wrinkle factor? How bad do they wrinkle? As I posted before I baught an Amerikilt on ebay around xmas time, and its great, but man, as soon as I sit down it is gone. It wrinkles heavily and instantly. I tried the towl trick, wrapping it around when I just up into my truck, that doesnt help, I cant even is on the darn couch carefully without it becoming a total mess. I tried the fabir releaser spray, still doesnt help lol

I dont like to wear it out beacuase of this. Its my opinion that a nice kilt shouldnt be messy, sloppy, or heavily wrinkled. Will I have this problem with the denim UK? I know theres a lot of UK wearers in here. Thanks guys!

Oh, and thanks to all of you with the wedding advise thread! you were all a big help!

Sorry I can't help with the UK specifically, but I have heard it mentioned in this forum that RKilts made from denim hold their pleats very well.

If Utilikilts sews down the pleat to hold its edge, it should be ok.

I got a denim UK last summer, and it quickly became my favorite (Still wish it had workman's style pockets). The pleats curl less, and has fewer wrinkles in general than any of my other UK's (well except for the spartan which can be wadded in a ball and then shaken out).

My son got a denim uk for Christmas, he loves it. I think it is the most wrinkle proof kilt I have ever seen.

I've had my UK Blue Denim kilt for a couple years now. I love it. It arrived looking and smelling like a new pair of jeans used to. I broke it in by washing it six times in a row in cold water with unscented Downy.

Its also become my favorite weekend kilt. I reach for it almost instinctively. Its now broken in like a new pair of jeans. It doesn't wrinkle any more than well broken in jeans do.

A denim UK original is truely, "Scottish Jeans."

I don't have problems with pleat curl since I hang dry with weighted clips on the bottom of each pleat. So the pleats dry straight.

If it helps any there are pics in my galleries. Its hard to photograph denim well.

This pic captures the true color best on my monitor...no clue how it will come out on yours.

If you like jeans, you'll love the denim UK original.

Ya know, I might have to make my 10th be a Denim UK. I had loved my Olive Original for weekending, recently its been the Chocolate Workman's (got it used, but still need to soften it up a bit more); I think a Denim would do nicely.

My denim's new (to me), still a tad bit stiff, but I'm likin' it - wrinkles don't seem to be that big a deal.
